A Journal Of Audio Technology
Sound Practices was a quarterly audio journal published in the 1990s by Joe Roberts. Full of articles on DIY tube amplifiers, horn speakers, audio experience, technical know-how, it has become a legend in the DIY community. Although Joe occasionally offers old stock copies for sale on eBay it is out of print and largely unavailable in physical format despite being published on the web for free. The luxury of owning a physical copy comes in handy when studying schematics or planning your next DIY project late at night, enjoying these texts in an atmosphere free from a screen creates a deeper connection with the text and displaces you into the past. We fully acknowledge this reprint to be without permission from Joe. What you are buying is a service that prints, binds and ships you these physically unavailable treasures.
“Sound Practices is published 4 times a year at Box 19302, Alexandria, VA 22320. This publication exists to encourage audio experimentation and to promote the exchange of related information. Permission is given to reprint all contents freely, except for individually copyrighted articles. Please be sure to mention Sound Practices as the source in any reprint."
